Viburnum lantana hedging description
Viburnum lantana, commonly known as the Wayfaring Tree as it was often planted along waysides, provides an array of features from spring through to autumn. Plant Viburnum lantana for fragrant flowers, colourful berries and autumn colour. Viburnum lantana is great for wildlife gardens as birds will eat the berries and seek shelter within its branches. The white flowers also produce nectar, yielded by butterflies. The Cotton Tree will grow well in any moist yet well-drained site and is suited to most soil types. The Common Wayfaring Tree will have the best flower display if planted in full sun but will tolerate both partial shade and drought.
